Children’s Book Week and Rose
Children’s Book Week is almost upon us again which means that I will not spend much time in my office for three weeks or so. This year I am doing pre-pre-Book Week, pre-Book Week and actual Book Week sessions, first at Kensington Primary School, then Carnarvon Public Library, then five different schools and libraries in the Metropolitan Area. It keeps me busy, but I love it!
It’s great to be able to interact with the students, teachers and librarians who are reading my books. I’m sure I learn as much from them as they do from me, and we have a lot of fun along the way.
And Rose de Freycinet is in the news again with the translation of her journal into Portuguese this week. Congratulations to the translator, Rosa Alice Mosiman on the release of Rose de Freycinet. Diario de Viagem au do Mundo.
